Janine Hendriks
I started as a PhD candidate of both the AMC and VUmc in 2022 at the department of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine at the Amsterdam UMC after finishing my master in Biomedical Engineering at the TU Delft. During my studies I developed an interest in doing research with neuroimaging, and experienced how time-consuming manual quality control can be. Now, under the supervision of Anouk Schrantee, Henk-Jan Mutsaerts and Frederik Barkhof, I work on the SANE-QC project.
During this PhD project, I will look in automated quality control of structural MR images, together with our partners QMENTA and IXICO. We aim to create a QC strategy that works in multi-scanner and multi-cohort clinical datasets. SANE-QC will deliver and validate consensus QC metrics and thresholds for neuroimaging biomarkers, resulting in reliable MRI biomarkers.
