Anne Marijn Bruijn

In June 2025, I started my PhD in the department of Endocrinology & Metabolism and the department of Radiology & Nuclear Medicine, under the supervision of Prof. Serlie, Prof. la Fleur, Dr. Schrantee and Dr. Van Galen. Before that, I obtained my Master’s degree in Brain & Cognitive Sciences, with a specialization in Cognitive Neuroscience, at the University of Amsterdam.

My research focuses on the influence of sex on the dopamine system in obesity. For this project, we employ innovative and advanced neuroimaging analyses (e.g. REACT) and investigate how these neuroimaging measures relate to behavioral and treatment outcomes.
