Daphne Boucherie

I obtained my Master’s degree in Neurobiology, focusing on Cognitive Neurobiology and Clinical Neurophysiology, at the University of Amsterdam. During my Master’s, I developed an interest in doing neurocognitive research using Magnetic Resonance Imaging. In 2025, I completed my PhD. During this time, I focused on further understanding the different factors (neurobiological and vascular) that influence and underlie the pharmacological MR response to antidepressant medication, such as selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) and ketamine.

Following my PhD, I started as a postdoctoral researcher at the department of Radiology and Nuclear Medicine at the Amsterdam UMC. Currently, I am investigating the neurobiology of loneliness in young adults, and the effects of technology use thereon.
